christmas napalm -pt. 2

 This is for a local church congregation- one of my favorite clients because our relationship has moved to a place where Dog n’ Moon is allowed to be both marketeers and artists. The final piece was 5.5″ squared. Makes a nice, expensive looking take-away for the the congregation as they leave for the next couple of weeks. Quick design, lightning fast production, and it gets the job done with a little bit of Christmas Cheer thrown in for good measure.

i love the smell of napalm in the morning

uh… okay, actually… just Palm. Trees. And by Palm, I mean Fir. Douglas Fir, to be-   …I mean I love Christmas. Jingle Bells. Ho-Ho-Ho. And so on and so forth. This is for Azusa Pacific University here in Southern California. The cd design itself is nice and airy, but the posters and flyers really make for a striking launch. It’s fairly conventional, but Christmas is a time for convention, so we think it works great. We’re excited to be striking up a pretty nice little relationship with APU and we’re working on our next project with them right now.   ••• Merry Christmas to all!

the tao of clear

I guess some would call us crazy for pointing site visitors to another design firm. But you can’t argue with quality. I had the pleasure of going out to visit these fine folks last summer and can’t say enough good stuff about them. BUT, good people come through our lives all the time. It’s the design that comes out of this place that is abso-stinkin’-lutely unbelievable. Check out their portfolio. Buy a shirt.

definitely NOT an annual report… well…

So there’s this local congregation for whom we regularly do work. They’ve been around for 125 years and have never really done an annual report and figured that it was appropriate to do one for 2007. Unfortunately, talk of money is always a bit uncomfortable when it comes to the church so the assignment was to find a positive and optimistic way to diplomatically discuss how the church’s tithe was being used. We came up with what we think is a creative way to solve this problem. The format was 4″h x 12″w and opened vertically (like a vertically challenged calendar). Statistics were measured to the foot, and we were thankful for the opportunity to walk around and get some exercise. Here is a sampling of the pages.
